Bama Dining Wins Silver Medal in National Loyal E. Horton Awards—Third Consecutive Year of National Recognition
Tuscaloosa, Ala. — Bama Dining at The University of Alabama has earned national recognition with a Silver Medal in the Residential Dining Facility category of the 2025 Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards, presented by the National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS). This marks the third consecutive year that Bama Dining has received national recognition through the prestigious Loyal E. Horton Awards.
Often regarded as the “gold standard” in collegiate dining, the Loyal E. Horton Awards recognize excellence in dining programs at colleges and universities across the country. This year’s Silver Medal celebrates UA Dining’s commitment to culinary innovation, student satisfaction, and high standards of service in its residential dining facilities.
“We are honored to be recognized by NACUFS for the experience we strive to create for our students every day,” said Bruce McVeagh, Resident District Manager at Bama Dining. “This award is a testament to the passion and dedication of our entire team.” The official award presentation will take place at the NACUFS 2025 National Conference in July in Salt Lake City, Utah, where top programs from across the country will be celebrated for their contributions to campus dining excellence. Bama Dining remains committed to delivering high-quality, student-focused dining experiences that support wellness, sustainability, and a strong sense of campus community.
